On first pass, this smells of plastic & lactic oak along with plum & berry fruits, & only after airing does this shed some of its overtly oaky character. Fresh acidity & dry tannins palate, holds toasty oak, vanilla, char & clove flavors along with base notes of black plum & berry fruit. A note of chocolate emerges on a slightly hot finish.
